University of Turbat Advances Academic Reform: Affiliation Committee Approves Key Measures for Quality Assurance in Affiliated Colleges

The ninth meeting of the University of Turbat's (UoT) Affiliation Committee was held on
September 18, 2026, at the Dean's Office, chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor (TI), Dean, Faculty
of Literature and Languages. The committee approved several key measures to align academic
activities at affiliated degree colleges with contemporary standards, including new academic
programs, curriculum updates, revised teaching methodologies, and improved examination
procedures.


Dr. Abdul Saboor reaffirmed that upholding academic standards across affiliated colleges
remains the University's foremost priority, adding that quality assurance protocols and HEC
regulations would be strictly enforced. The committee emphasized the importance of qualified
faculty, modern teaching practices, updated curricula, and improved infrastructure, along with
stronger coordination among affiliated colleges, the provincial Education Department, and
University administration.


According to the university spokesperson, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan commended the
Affiliation Committee for the timely convening of its meetings, saying that guiding affiliated
colleges on modern technology and quality assurance is a key part of UoT's Strategic Plan 2030.
He added that the Affiliation Committee, Quality Enhancement Cell, and Examination
Department are working in close coordination, in line with HEC guidelines, to achieve these
objectives.


The meeting was attended by Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Kamal Ahmed, Registrar Ganguzar
Baloch, Controller of Examinations Dr. Abdul Majid Nasir, QEC Director Dr. Riaz Ahmed,
Director Graduate Studies Dr. Waseem Barkat, and Deputy Registrar Shahid Khalid.
